Topics to be discussed may include color theory, composition, light and shadow, perspective, various drawing and painting techniques along with brief information and artists past and present.
The instructor will try to individualize the class to each student as much as possible.
This course is also for students who already have some knowledge of basic art applications and would like to explore in depth the medium of their choice. Students working in acrylics, alkyds, collage, oils, pastels, pen, pencil, tempera, watercolor, etc. are encouraged to attend. Moreover, students will be encouraged to work and develop their own style and subject matter albeit abstraction, animals, figurative, landscape, portraits, realism, etc. Also, students may bring unfinished artwork to resolve any problems that they may have.
